Ed Sheeran, an English singer-songwriter, released the song “Azizam” (transl. “My beloved”). It was released on April 4, 2025, by Sheeran’s own label Gingerbread Man Records and distributed by Warner Records as the lead single off his upcoming eighth studio album, Play. Sheeran, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Johnny McDaid, and Savan Kotecha collaborated to write and produce the music.
The Persian version of the song, featuring Iranian singer Googoosh, was released on April 18, 2025. The CD single and 7-inch single were released on May 2, 2025, and included the unique bonus track “Crashing”. “Azizam” debuted at number three on the UK Singles Chart, earning Sheeran’s 42nd top-ten hit in his native nation.
